The purpose of this project is to identify ways that make transportation
services more available and responsive to persons with disabilities. The
project, in several different ways, collected and organized information
on resources and opportunities for transportation services for individuals
with disabilities in Maine (e.g., creating and convening a Transportation
Resource Team, developing a transportation advocacy guide, funding 3 demonstration
projects with the purpose of creating long-lasting improvements to Maine’s
transportation services for people with disabilities). CMS has provided
funding for this 3-year project under the 2001 Real Choices Systems Change
grant solicitation.
If you would prefer receiving the reports in an alternative format (for
example, Braille), please contact Larry Glantz.
