The purpose of this project is to fund the development of a published
rate structure and implementation of an individual budgeting tool for
services provided to persons with mental retardation and autism. The
published rate structure will allow Maine to spend funds in a more predictable
and consistent manner and enable the State to offer self-directed services
to the persons it serves.
CMS has provided funding for this 3-year project under the 2003 Real
Choices Systems Change grant solicitation.
