Person-Centered Services
Independence Plus: Maine's Opportunity for Choice & Control
The purpose of this project is to develop information, training materials
and other tools for persons with mental retardation and autism and their
family members to support their participation in a new Independence Plus
waiver program. The new program will give persons with mental retardation
the option of directing their own supports. The grant funding also will
support development of surrogate policy and evaluation activities. CMS
has provided funding for this 3-year project under the 2003 Real Choices
Systems Change grant solicitation.
