in pursuit of happiness and fulfillment.”
3. Meeting
Minutes
The Work Group approved the July 24, 2002 meeting minutes
with a minor revision.
4. Review of Agenda
Helen Bailey reviewed the agenda. Four
draft documents, the
Roadmap (front part); Coordination of Services Plan; Housing; and Affordable,
Appropriate, Integrated Housing were discussed at the meeting and one,
the draft of What We Have Now, was presented to the Work Group for
their information. The goal of the meeting was to review edits recommended
by the Work Group on July 24th and to possibly approve drafts to the Coordination
of Services Plan; Housing; and Affordable, Appropriate, Integrated Housing. The
front of the Roadmap was also reviewed in its entirety, with the goal
of presenting a revised draft to the Work Group at the September meeting.
5. Disposition
of the Reports
Roadmap (front part): The Work Group started
a review of the draft Roadmap in May; the review was completed at this meeting. Danny
will make revisions based on Work Group input and a revised draft will be presented
to the Work Group on September 25th.
For the draft Coordination of Services Plan and drafts of the Housing and Affordable, Appropriate, Integrated Housing reports, the Work Group reviewed the final edits from the July meeting, and with the understanding that the revisions recommended at this meeting would be made, the Work Group voted to approve them.
A draft version of What We Have Now, which will be appended to the Roadmap, was presented to the Work Group. It is a comprehensive resource guide describing most of the public programs supporting people with disabilities in Maine. Although the guide is a fact-based document that does not require the approval of the Work Group, the Work Group was invited to comment. The invitation will be extended at the September meeting as well.
